About the Project

Ghostly Gumshoe is a game that was created and submitted for Jamsepticeye. A game jam created and hosted by content creators "Jacksepticeye" and "Ducky_Dev". I joined Stacked Studios as a team member to serve as the Unreal Generalist and Level Designer. At the end of the game jam voting process, my team finished tied at 272nd place out of 1200 submitted games. In the top 20% of the games made and submitted.

My Role

Over the course of 5 days, I assisted the programmer with creating and scripting the main features and abilities of the player. Primarily, my responsibilities included implementing all art assets into the main level. For implementing art assets, I discussed with the artists what the assets are and scaled them appropriately to allow them to fit seamlessly into the level. I was also responsible for the level lighting and minor set dressing.​

As UI Programmer, I created and implemented the full dialogue system and collaborated with the team's programmer to complete any other necessary programming tasks. To implement the dialogue, I created dialogue boxes for the player to read the lines the character says. The game plays the appropriate voice lines for each displayed dialogue line and multiple-choice options. I worked with the game's narrative designer to decide which dialogue lines should be put into the game.
